Born out of the heavy heart of saying goodbye to close friends during time in the military. One friend, in particular, hurt the most to say goodbye who left "on the 2pm train,"..."on a cold, rainy day" in Germany. The lyrics hit home all too well, where sometimes we "can't find the words" and find it hard to hold back the tears every time we say "goodbye." The Good News to this story is that someday, for those believers saved by the love and grace of Jesus Christ, they can say one day 'we'll all be together again' "on the train goin' Home."
