about

2017 was a rough year for many who were directly affected by the tragedies that struck throughout the year, as well as for all of us who mourned and prayed for them. 2018 hasn't started off well either. But God is still God and in charge. "Triumph and Tragedy" was written out of this hard to swallow pill that Job in the Bible took a lot easier than most of us could after losing everything. He "fell on the ground and worshiped" (Job 1:20-22). After Job's life was turned upside down, God restored everything in double (Job 42:10-15). We have to believe that the same can happen for us; because He is God. And if it doesn't, well, He is God. Still His Name be praised. “Triumph & Tragedy" was written to shine hope in a dark world.

lyrics

V1:
What you gave you took away,
Will it be restored someday?
who am I to question......
Still your name be praised

Should I not accept the pain
With every good that I've gained?
Who am I to question...
Still your name be praised

Pre-chorus lead in:
In this life of triumph and tragedy
There's Majesty
Your voice thunders wondrously
And who are we
To question Your authority
'Cause In This life, triumph comes out of tragedy

V2:
everything from yesterday
could be wiped away today
Who am I to question
Still your name be praised

Still your name be praised

Cause In this life triumph comes out of tragedy

Chorus:
In this life of triumph and tragedy
There's Majesty
Your voice thunders wondrously
And who are we
To question Your authority
'Cause in this life, triumph comes out of tragedy

Bridge:
The breath I breathe; is In Your Hands (in Your Hands)
You Shepherd me; You guide my plans (guide my plans)
Lord I pray that through the pain, I know You reign
And I count it all as loss, for Christ I gain

Chorus:
In this life of triumph and tragedy
There's Majesty
Your voice thunders wondrously
and who are we
To question Your authority
'cause in this life, triumph comes out of tragedy
In this life, triumph comes out of tragedy
In this life triumph comes out of tragedy
